Srinagar: Minister of state for Education and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislator Priya SethiTuesday deliberately skipped the question raised by her party legislators during the Question Hour in the ongoing autumn session of the Asembly.

Sethi Tuesday went out of the House to evade a reply to a question on her department.

BJP legislators unanimously cornered Sethi for the “deteriorating situation of the education sector and seizing the powers” of the director Education Jammu.

However, without answering the question she stood up from her seat and preferred to move out.

Sethi was supposed to answer the question as minister for Education Naeem Akhtar was not present in the house at that time.

The BJP legislators alleged that the commissioner secretary education has seized the powers of the director. They also alleged him being responsible for the “deteriorating situation” of the education department in the Jammu region.

The BJP legislators also demanded transfer of the CS education. (KNS)
