To denounce the recent wave of unrest that hit many areas of the country, millions of Iranians have staged fresh nationwide demonstrations in support for the present Islamic establishment under supreme leader Ayatollah Syed Ali Khamenei.
Demonstrators were holding placards, national flags and portraits of Ayatollah Syed Ali Khamenei, shouting pro-establishment slogans. The demonstrators also held the Israeli and American regime responsible for the wave of unrest across the country.
“People are free to criticise the government or stage protests as far as the rights enshrined in the Charter of Civil Rights are concerned, but the manner of expressing such criticism should be constructive and very importantly should help in improving domestic conditions,” says President Hassan Rouhani.
