Budgam: In an order to ensure the smooth and effective functioning of PMKKY scheme, the Union Home Secretary, Rajiv Mehreshi on Sunday visited the Orion Edutech PMKKY at Budgam district in central Kashmir to assess the ongoing programme in which hundreds of youth are being imparted with skill based training to earn the dignified livelihood. Mehreshi, stressed for the effective implementation of scheme during his through interaction with the staff of the centre and the students undergoing the training. He highlighted the purpose of scheme and insisted youth to take the maximum benefit of it to shape their future.

While the Union delegation led by the Home secretary was fully satisfied with the functioning of scheme, the staff at the centre urged him to open more such centres in other far off areas of the valley to make it more beneficial for the youths.
