Forces kill two foreign militants in south Kashmir Village

 tral militanttral militant2Tral: Two militants were killed in gunfight with forces in Tral area of south Kashmir, police said. Adding that the encounter erupted after a joint party of 3 and 44 RR along with SOG Awantipora challenged a group of militants in Haari village of Parigam in Tral. The deceased militants were identified as Burmee and Adil Pathan of Jaish-e-Muhammad outfit. The police spokesman said that acting on a specific information about the presence of militants in Harripora, Tral area, police along with 42-RR and 3-RR cordoned off the area and launched the search operation. The hiding militants opened fire on the joint search party, triggering an encounter. The encounter ended up with the elimination of two foreign militants of Pakistan based group Jaish Mohammad (JeM) outfit. 2 Ak-47 Riffles, 01 Grenade, 4 magazine, 80 rounds were recovered from the encounter site by the forces. The police said that duo was involved in the kidnapping of two persons from Peernard village in 2014. “On the instructions from Pakistan based commanders of the outfit, the slain militants were involved in many unlawful activities and inciting violence in valley”. The police spokesman said that due had played an instrumental role in recruiting and motivating local youth to join militancy, beside were coordinating between HM and JeM created after the death of one the cadres of Jaish Mohammad outfit in 2014. “The duo had also tried to create impediments in last year elections”. Meanwhile, the protests erupted in the township after the encounter and hundreds of people assembled and chanted the pro freedom slogans. However, no untoward incident was reported although the locals of two adjoining village’s attempted take over the dead bodies of slain militants for funeral. “There was some minor feud between the people of Haripora and Bargam after they were insisting to bury the dead militants in their respective villages. Finally the issue was sorted out amicably and bodies were handed over to the locals of Bargam villagers for last rites,” said the eye witnesses to The Legitimate.
