75 Die In Pakistan As Militants Attack Political Rallies

As many as 75 people have been killed and more than 150 injured in twin deadly blasts that targeted the Political Rallies in Pakistan today Attack.

The country is going for the general elections on July 24 and so far two top political figures have paid with their lives while campaigning for their  parties.

A Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) rally was attacked in Mastung area in which its leader and brother of former Baluchistan chief minister Siraj Rsisani was killed.

“Raisani succumbed to wounds while he was being shifted to Quetta,” District Police Officer Mohammad Ayub Achakzai said.

The police and intelligence agencies are investigating into the attack and so far the nature of this deadly attack is not known.

Baluchistan’s caretaker health minister, Faiz Kakar and the Deputy Commissioner of Mastung, Habib Baluch confirmed that BAP leader Raisani had been killed along with 69 other people in the blast.

As more are injured many of them critically, officials fear the death toll may mount further.

Earlier the militants attacked a rally of Akram Khan Durrani of Mutahida Majlis Amal (MMA), an alliance of religious party, including Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazal (JUI-F) and Jamaat-e-Islami, in Bannu area of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province.

In the attack as many as five people got killed and 37 others injured.

 The party chief Durrani was unhurt in the attack and he later visited the injured in the hospital and said that his car was also damaged in the attack.

Durrani is contesting against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf chief Imran Khan and he announced to continue campaign despite threats.

President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nasirul Mulk also condemned the attack in separate statements.

Earlier on Monday, a suicide bomber killed Awami National Party (ANP) Haroon Bilour leader during the party rally.
