New Delhi: Seven-year-old Bandipora boy who represented India at the Asian Youth Karate Championship in New Delhi has won the championship.

Hashim Mansoor, son of Mansoor Ahmad Shah of Nadihal village in Bandipora District represented India in Sub-Junior category in the championship at Talkatora stadium.

A total of 19 countries are participating in the championship which is being organised by All India Youth Karate Federation.

Hashim has won gold by beating his Sri Lankan rival.

Earlier, he defeated his Bhutanese and Malaysian rivals as well.(KNS)
