Baramulla : A policeman has been arrested for Violating duty rules as well as tarnishing the chastity of a woman in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Sources said that a selection grade constable of Jammu Kashmir Armed Police was found in a house in Qazi Hamam area of Baramulla district during duty hours. Sources added that he had entered into the house with an intention to insult the modesty of a woman.
The cop was immediately arrested and a formal case was registered against him.
Confirming the incident, SSP Baramulla Mir Imtiyaz Hussain said that the said cop was arrested for violating duty rules. He said that an FIR Vide number 147/2018 under section 457, 452, 509 RPC has been registered against the said cop while departmental inquiry has been initiated.
