Srinagar: United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has expressed concern over continuing clashes between Indian and Pakistani troops along the Line of Control and urged New Delhi and Islamabad to resolve their issues through talks.

According to Radio Pakistan this was stated by UN spokesperson Stephane Dujarric at regular briefing while responding to a question.

 “The Secretary General has called on India and Pakistan to resolve their difference peacefully through dialogue,” said the radio report.

“He said the United Nations continues to watch this situation of concern,” it added.
