Srinagar: Due to heavy rains and bad weather conditions the Jammu highway was blocked by a landslide on Friday morning at Ramban District of Jammu and Kashmir.
“Few stones came rolling down from a hilltop on the highway blocking the movement of vehicles for strategic highway that holds the vital importance of connecting the valley to the rest of country,” said official authorities.
They said that most of the vehicles are carrying Amarnath pilgrims.
However, the officials are hoping the improvement in road conditions in the latter half of the day which will ensure smooth passage of vehicles including of yatra.
