DGP Chairs Security Review Meeting In Kashmir

Srinagar: Director General of Police Dilbag Singh-IPS today chaired a security review meeting of officers at PCR Kashmir. The meeting was attended by ADGP L&O Munir Ahmad Khan-IPS, IGP Kashmir S.P Pani-IPS, Range DIsG, District SsP and SSP PCR Kashmir.

While reviewing the security measures DGP Dilbag Singh urged the police officials to adopt a highly dedicated and professional approach while dealing with the crime matters and generate a social impact for the betterment of society.

While appreciating the role of police force in tackling law & order and other challenges on ground, DGP also complimented the police force for all its good work done in past including successful conduct of Panchayat/ULB elections which has earned the appreciation for J&K Police.

While impressing the resolve of J&K Police to fight against social evils, DGP enjoined upon the officers to act strict against drug peddlers to curb the problem of drug abuse.

DGP also insisted to have commitment of highest order in curbing social crimes, police spokesman said Valley Media Service.

DGP congratulated the police officers who were promoted under NFS scheme and assured that more welfare measures are being initiated for the betterment of police force.

DGP assured that adequate resources will be provided for creating better work environment.

Expressing compliments & new year greetings, DGP urged all the ranks for ensuring transparent and people friendly policing.

Earlier in the day Director General of Police, J&K Dilbag Singh IPS accompanied by IGP Kashmir S.P. Pani IPS visited Pulwama where he reviewed the security scenario of the District and also conducted a Darbar of Jawans and officers of District Pulwama at District Police Lines.

While addressing the police personnel the DGP J&K stressed upon all ranks of Police to improve their proficiency and gain more and more public confidence. In a statement to Valley Media Service, reiterating that safety of human lives and public property has remained among top priorities of the force, DGP said that J&K Police despite facing tough challenges, has succeeded in creating a sense of security among the public.

The DGP said that with the active cooperation of the people, the force has succeeded in bringing peace and it is our endeavour to keep the peace maintained at all levels. DGP J&K heard the police personnel patiently and assured them that their genuine problems would be looked into on priority.

The Darbar besides the Jawans of Pulwama District was also attended by ASP Pulwama Mohd. Anwar-ul-Haq-KPS, Satish Kumar Dy.SP DAR DPL, Farooq Ahmad Dy.SP Hqrs, Zaheer Abass Dy.SP OPS, Nawaz Ahmad Dy.SP OPS Kakapora and other senior officers of the District.

DGP also chaired a meeting wherein he reviewed the security scenario of the district. The security review meeting was attended among others by IGP Kashmir S.P. Pani, DIG SKR Amit Kumar, SP Pulwama Chandan Kohli.(VMS)
