Sartaj Aziz, advisor of Pakistan Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs, has urged the Arab League to call upon New Delhi to immediately “stop the bloodshed and massacre” and implement the pending UN Security Council resolutions on Kashmir.
In a letter to the Secretary General of Arab League, the adviser said that India has unleashed a “reign of terror against the innocent and defenseless civilians since the extrajudicial killing of a young Kashmiri leader Burhan Wani last month.”sartajaziz-03-1462279397

The current situation in Indian-administered Kashmir, he said, is the result of the continued denial by India of the right to self-determination of the people of Jammu and Kashmir that was promised to them by the United Nations Security Council in the relevant resolutions.
“The current uprising in Kashmir is not an isolated incident but a manifestation of continued deep, widespread and long-held alienation of the oppressed people of the area from the Indian occupation,” Aziz was quoted as saying by Radio Pakistan.
He said the spontaneous and massive uprising is a manifestation that the struggle of Kashmiris is totally indigenous which cannot be equated with terrorism.
