Family expresses gratitude to MEA for paying heed to their appeal        Saudi

Poonch: Two months after he died in Saudi Arabia, the body of Poonch man, Mohammad Yaseen Khan (40) son of Abdullah Khan of Bassoni, Balakote, Mendhar, Poonch, was flown to his native village at the behest of Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).

The poor family expressed gratitude to the MEA for making all arrangements to bring the body back.

“The body reached home today afternoon,” Zaheer Khan, a close relative of the deceased told GNS, adding that “We are highly thankful to GNS news agency for highlighting the issue and MEA for helping in bringing the body to native village”.

The 40-year-old man died in Saudi Arabia after a brief illness on April 15 this year.

Having no means to bring the body back home, they had issued an appeal to the government of India through Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) to see that the mortal remains are brought to Poonch for last rites. (GNS)
