Police Solves Murder Blind Murder in 2 days

Srinagar: In just a couple of days, a blind murder case of a cart vendor was Monday solved by the Sopore police.

The murders of a snack vendor 45-years-old father of four daughters and a son — Ghulam Mohammad Tantray, son of Ghulam Ahmad Tantray, who was stabbed by some unidentified assailants in Behrampur village of Rafiabad area late in the evening on Saturday was solved by the Dangiwacha police station.

While talking to reporters during a news conference, DIG North Kashmir, Gareeb Das said that soon after the murder case was reported, a special investigation team (SIT) was constituted by SSP Sopore headed by SDPO Rafiabad Shabir Ahmad Khan and SHO PS Dangiwacha Peerzada Attiqullah and in tireless efforts the SIT was able to crack the case within 24 hours by picking two suspected youth namely Khursheed Ah Malla s/o Bashir Ahmad Malla r/o Ambarpora Tarzoo Sopore & Zahid Ahmad Katroo s/o Mushtaq Ahmad Katroo r/o Ambarpora Tarzoo Sopore.

“Both the suspected were put on sustained interrogation and during the interrogation the duo spilled out the beam,” DIG north Kashmir said.

Gareeb Das further said that the family of the Khursheed Ahmad Malla was interested to establish social relation with the family of deceased Ghulam Mohammad Tantray and few days back the Khursheed's mother and two other his relatives came for marriage proposal to the said deceased Ghulam Mohammad's home, which was not accepted by the deceased and this frustrated the said Khursheed Ahmad.

“On 12th December in the evening Khursheed along with his friend Zahid who is also his neighbor hatched a conspiracy for eliminating Tantray (deceased),” he said.

“As soon as the Tantray was about to enter his house the Khursheed attacked on him and pierced his neck with a sharp edged weapon, while Zahid assisted him. Both the attackers fled from the spot after locals made a hue and cry,” he added.

DIG north Kashmir further stated that Tantray with deep neck injury collapsed on way while he was being taking to hospital.

He further informed that the weapon of the offense was seized from the scene of occurrence and it preliminary investigation reveals that it was a planned murder while an FIR was also registered in Dangiwacha police station under no 67/2015 U/S 302. (KNS)
