Islamabad: Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday said that the “deliberate escalation of tension at Line of Control by Indian forces” is a threat to regional peace and security.

Sharif said this while chairing a meeting in Islamabad to review deteriorating situation at the Line of Control (LoC).
“It is also a futile attempt of the Indian authorities to divert the world’s attention from the worst kind of atrocities they are committing against innocent people of Occupied Kashmir. Pakistan cannot be bullied by such tactics as we are fully capable of defending our soil against any belligerence,” Sharif was quoted as saying by the Radio Pakistan.
He urged the United Nations to take notice of ceasefire violations on the LoC, it said.
