Dr Farooq promises to pass resolution in 30 days after wining polls, expelled BJP leader joins NC 

Srinagar: Former chief minister and National Conference (NC) president, Dr Farooq Abdullah promised the restoration of autonomy in Jammu and Kashmir if the party comes of power after assembly elections.

According to KNO correspondent, Dr Farooq stated that NC will pass the autonomy resolution in the State legislature soon after the party comes to power in Jammu and Kashmir.

In a major political development, former Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) MLA Gagan Bhagat who was expelled from the party has joined National Conference in presence of the party president Dr Farooq Abdullah.

While addressing party leaders in Jammu after holding two-hour long meeting with former BJP MLA in Jammu, Dr Farooq said that “the party will pass the autonomy resolution in the first 30 days after the party comes to power in Jammu and Kashmir.” Pertinently, NC Provincial President Devender Singh Rana and other senior leaders were also present on the occasion.(KNO)
