LG Sinha visits Baltal base camp of Amarnath Yatra

Ahead of the commencement of the annual Amarnath Yatra, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha visited the Baltal base camp in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district and took stock of the security and other arrangements on Tuesday.

The 52-day-long Amarnath Yatra will commence on June 29 from the twin routes of Baltal and Pahalgam (south Kashmir).

“Today visited Baltal Base camp of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra in Ganderbal district,” Lt Governor posted on X (formerly Twitter).

He also took stock of the security arrangements for the holy yatra and various facilities including medicines, oxygen, water, food, sanitation, and telecom connectivity along the route and pilgrim camp.

The Lt Governor also held a meeting with the officers of various departments and ensured all facilities for the pilgrims during the yatra period.
