Police Files Fir Against Khanmoh Quack Doctor Who’s Playing With Life Of Public Since Long

Srinagar:  The police on Tuesday filed an FIR against a quack doctor who was practicing medicine “since a long time” at Khanmoh in outskirts of Srinagar.

A police officer told GNS that the FIR was filed at Police Station Pantha Chowk against Abdul Lateef Khan son of Ghulam Ahmad Khan of Khanmoh (owner of Lateef Medicate Chemists and Druggists Khanmoh), who was practicing as a doctor without having any proper degree.

The police action followed a complaint filed by CMO Srinagar after his visit to Khonmoh area along with a team.

During the visit, one clinic established by Abdul Lateef Khan who was found indulging in illegal practices since a long time without any pre-requisite degree. The team ceased the prescription of the said person along with CCTV footage box,” the CMO said. The team also sealed two rooms used for the purpose, he said.

The CMO requested the police to lodge an FIR as per law against Abdul Lateef Khan “as he is playing with the life of General Public since long, apart from violating the rules pertaining to biomedical waste disposal procedures.” (GNS)
