Shabir Ahmed castigated India for not taking any action against the perpetrators of the crime who happened to be the Jawans of 4 RR sixty eight brigade who committed the heinous crime of raping dozens of women from Kunan Poshpora during the intervening night of 22 and 23 February 1991.

On that fateful day the drunken soldiers first cordoned the village and then separated the men from women & then they started their evil acts.

The whole humanity raised their voice against this barbaric act and International Human Rights Organizations raised their voice, but India as usual played the tricks by appointing a commission to investigate the matter and by this they tried to douse the fire and stop International criticism, but the so called Indian democracy came under sharp criticism and doubts were raised over the intentions of India for dealing criminally with Kashmir issue.

The Indians used rape as a weapon of war against the freedom loving people of Kashmir to weaken their resolve for freedom and breaking them emotionally, but the results were totally unexpected for Indian policy makers as this barbaric act strengthened the conviction and resolve of Kashmiris, this heinous act destroyed the lives of dozens of women and made them psychological patients, International Forum for Justice Chairman Ahsan Untoo on this day appealed international community especially united nations and human rights organizations to use their good offices and persuade India to bring the criminals involved in the rape of Kunan Poshpoa women to book so that justice is done with the victims.

Meanwhile Hurriyat Conference Jammu Kashmir has expressed condolences with Hurriyat leader Mohammed Ashraf khan Sehraie over the death of his elder brother.(Agencies)
