Shopian: Government forces on Saturday morning launched SADO (search and destroy operation) in orchards of Heff shirmal belt of South Kashmir’s Shopian district.
Official sources told KNO that on specific inputs about the presence of militants joint team of forces including 44 RR, 178 Bn CRPF and SoG Shopian launched search and destroy operation in the area.
Local sources told KNO that huge contingents of forces have been deployed in the area and search operation is going on.
Locals said that during wee hours they heard the sound of dozens of forces vehicles going towards the Orchard area.
They said the Heff-Shirmal Vuder (Karewa land) is a huge area surrounded by orchards, open fields, and dense woods, which the forces suspect to be a hub of militant shelters.(KNO)
