cowSrinagar: Five people including minor girl have been injured in an attack by self-styled cow vigilantes in the Reasi districts of Jammu and Kashmir.

The incident took place on Friday evening when Nomad family was moving with their livestock near the Talwar area. They were stop by large group of Gau Rakaskaks and beaten up with iron roads.

The victims say the attackers took away their entire flock including goats, sheep and cows.

The police said they have filed FIR and action will be taken against the culprits.

Police in Reasi said they have identified five of the attackers but no one has been arrest so far.

The victims say they cannot forget the horror. “They beat us ruthlessly. Somehow, we managed to flee from there. One of the children, 10 years old, is still missing. We don’t know whether he is alive or dead”. said one of the victim
