Srinagar: Suspected gunmen on Monday night fired few shots towards the house of former Finance Minister and National conference senior leader Abdul Rahim Rather in Badipora village of central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
“The leader was not present inside his house when the incident took place,” he added.
Spokesperson of the outfit Atif Hijazi told news agency CNS over phone that the attack on the house of Abdul Rahim Rather was carried out by a group of militants who managed to reach safely to their destination after the attack. He said that attacks on political workers will be intensified across Kashmir Valley.
