Faith Healers Mystic Touch

I was, like many others always an unfaithful in believing about the spiritualism of saints or other human beings. I never believed, that faith healers really exist on the earth, who could cure people just by the touch of their hands. I was never ready to accept it despite often hearing from my relatives, friends, faith healer and other groups about someone’s miraculous treatment by a saint or some faith healer.

It was just like playing music before a dumb for all of them while narrating such facts in front of me.

Time passed, and passed, but my belief never changed. One day, at my aunt’s home, there was some kind of function. Our whole family had to visit there. The function was for about, as I could remember, two or three days. We had a lot of fun and the first day passed very nicely.

Next day, as I woke up in the morning, illness had cast its spell on me. I was having extreme fever with cold, headaches and above all restlessness.  However, fortunately enough, I didn’t have to visit the doctor, as my cousin, a doctor himself, was present there.

I was given some medicinal pills and advised by my cousin to rest for the whole day. However, I was in a serious kind of illness. Each medicine was turning ineffective. I was restlessly lying on the bed for hours together. Afternoon came, and as I stared towards the clock, it showed 1:40 P.M, the time for Zuhar prayer had come.

Since my 10 years age, by the praise of Allah, I never abruptly left prayers (Nimaz) and I would feel uncomfortable whenever I didn’t pray. I am habitual of attending all the five prayers of day religiously.

I was looking restlessly on the clock as the time for Zuhar prayer was running out. I was remembering Allah in my heart, to make me well, and give me courage to offer Nimaz.

As, I was thinking about all this, suddenly the door of my room opened, and an elderly man, with a flowing white beard and a smiling face, entered into my room. Due to sickness and failing to offer Nimaz I was becoming restless with every passing movement.

My whole body was shivering with mixed cold-fever. The elderly man sat beside me, near my bed and looked at me. For a while, I thought he would just be enquiring about my illness.

But suddenly, slowly taking out his hand, he touched my fore-head and then gently draws it over my face, while reciting some verses of quarn. I hadn’t said anything to him neither I had told him even a bit about my illness.

I don’t know why, but he did so. That moment is but indescribable for me, I never had nor do I think will have such a beautiful relief again in my lifetime, what I got from that healing touch. My fever turned into ice, no more was any headache felt, cold vanished and so happened with the restlessness.

I was cured!

My face lit up with happiness and at once I stood up and went to perform ablution (wudu) for the Zuhar Prayers and thanked Allah. As I came out, I told everyone about the miracle and enquired who that elderly person was.

Pat came the reply; he was my cousin’s grandfather. I became so happy that really faith healers do exist and one in my relations too!

They need not to be found, they come finding to meet the needy. I could just remember, what Alfred Nobel had famously once said:

“Superficial knowledge can make a person atheist, but a deeper knowledge can make him a true believer on God.”
