Srinagar: Residents of Rajbagh and Jawahar Nagar alleged that they are facing unscheduled power cuts in their areas.
“Besides, the authorities are not replacing worn out wires. This hinders smooth power supply of power and also poses threat to their lives.
Residents complained of low voltage in the area. They said they have almost no access to electricity as the voltage is negligible despite paying their bills continuously.
“Despite being a metered area, the locals are facing pesky power cuts. We fail to understand why PDD is not following a proper schedule,” the locals said.
When contacted PDD Chief Engineer Hashmit Qazi told CNS that they are following a proper schedule. “There is power cut for six hours in metered areas,” he added. (CNS)
