Burhan Killing: Death Toll 30, Center Makes All efforts To Restore Peace

The situation in Kashmir valley is escalating amid the rising death toll of civilian causalities. So far 30 people have been killed and a police post was torched in Sopore town of North Kashmir on third successive day of unrest after the death of Hizb commander Burhan Wani, officials said on Monday.

Meanwhile, the Centre said that it is making all efforts to restore peace in Kashmir Valley, which is facing protests over the killing of Hizbul- Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani, Union minister Hansraj Gangaram Ahir today said.

After assuming the charge as the Minister of State for Home, he told reporters, “The central government wants that peace be restored in Jammu and Kashmir as early as possible. We are making all efforts for it.” (Agencies)
