Srinagar: While strongly condemning the continuous house detention of Chairman Hurriyat (G) Sayed Ali Geelani and not allowing him to offer Friday congregational prayers, Hurriyat Conference Committee for Human Rights chief Zamrooda Habib said that it is 32nd Friday in a row in the PDP-RSS rule when Syed Ali Geelani was barred from performing his important religious obligation.

While terming this cruel approach of the government as interference into the religious affairs of Syed Ali Geelani, Zamrooda said that it is the open violation of the international human rights charter according to which every person has a right to preach and practice his religion and belief. Human Rights committee head Zamrooda Habib also condemned in strong words the continuous detention of Hurriyat leaders Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai, Shabir Ahmad Shah, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Ghulam Nabi Sumji, Sayeda Asiya Andrabi, Ayaz Akbar, Raja Mehraj-ud-din Kalwal, Rayees Ahmad Mir, Mir Hafizullah Islamabad, Abdul Gani Bhat and arrest of more than 40 Palhallan youths.  She appealed the international and local human rights organizations to take strong notice of the atrocities of Indian imperialism in Kashmir.
