30 grass roots to be established under ‘Khelo India Khelo’ scheme

Srinagar: In a bid to boost the sports activities in Jammu and Kashmir, Secretary J&K State Sports Council, Waheed-Ur-Rehman Parra on Monday said that 30 grass root centres will be established under the scheme ‘Khelo India Khelo,’ in order to develop football sports in J&K.sports pic
In a meeting that was held here with Jammu and Kashmir Football Association, it was proposed that football academies will be formed at district levels to increase the football sports in Kashmir.
While speaking at the function, Waheed-Ur-Rehman Parra said that the sports council will try every possible effort to promote football sports at local levels.
However, in the meeting Jammu Kashmir Football Association provided list of national as well as international players and qualified C&D licences for coaches who will look after the newly proposed football sports academies in the state.
The meeting was attended several officials including Secretary J&K State Sports Council, JKFA President, JKFA Secretary and other members by other members as well. 
The meeting was concluded on a note that every possible help will be given to the JKFA for the overall development of football sports in the state. (KNS)
