Weatherman Foretells Relief From Sizzling Heat In J&K

Day temperature continues to soar in Jammu region with the mercury settling five degrees above normal even as the Meteorological Department (MeT) predicted rains over the next five days.

He, however, said that Jammu region will witness some respite from the scorching sun as there will be widespread isolated rain showers in the next five days.

Jammu region will receive isolated rainfall today followed by fairly widespread rainfall tomorrow, he said, adding there will be widespread rainfall on May 4 and scattered till May 6.

The temperature in Valley will be settled at 28.1 degrees Celsius, six notches above normal, he said.

“While Kashmir Valley will not witness any rainfall today but from tomorrow, there will be rainfall in most of the places in the Valley for next four days,” he said.

Several places in the Valley are expected to receive widespread rainfall tomorrow followed by isolated rain showers on May 5 and 6, he said.(Agencies)
