Two Militants Killed As Three-Day-Long Pampore Encounter Ends: Army

The encounter between suspected militants and security forces ended on third day Wednesday on the killing of two suspected militants.

This was announced by Major General of army Ashok Narola during a brief press briefing.

He said, “Two people have been eliminated and two weapons have been recovered. The encounter is over.”

Incharge of the army’s victor force also said that the building has 60 rooms and every room has an attacked bath room so security forces had to clear 120 rooms that was the reason it took them time.

“We also took time to avoid fatalities on our side,” Major General said.

IGP Kashmir SJM Gillani, on the occasion told reporters that police were ready to face any challenge from the militants.

Pertinently, militants had taken position in EDI building at Pampore on Monday since then an encounter was going on along the Srinagar-Jammu highway
