Srinagar: Teachers and education officials in Ganderbal have donated 70,000 Rs to the family of the two children who were killed in an explosion in the district.

Two siblings, Adil Ahamd Reshi and Shakir Ahmad Reshi were killed in a blast which occurred when they were playing in Mansbal area few weeks ago where the shell was left unexploded.

Rising to help the distraught family, teachers in the district collected Rs 70,000 from their pockets and donated the money to the family.

“The kind gesture was extended by the Chief Education Officer Ganderbal Abdul Rouf when he gave the idea to all of us. We liked the idea and collected the money,” the teachers told KNS.

The kind gesture was hailed by the people for helping the bereaved family. (KNS)
