Follow Tenets Of 2003 Ceasefire Agreement In Letter And Spirit: Tarigami To Indo-Pak Leadership

Referring to administrative inertia vis-à-vis developmental schemes in South Kashmir particularly in Tral area, Communist lawmaker M Y Tarigami Saturday said there are hardly any visible changes on ground with regard to development and infrastructure building. “The tall promises that have been made often by the successive governments are yet to be fulfilled.”

TarigamiDuring his visit to Tral in South Kashmir and interaction with various public delegations he observed that the government apathy has crossed the limits as the area sans infrastructure and other facilities despite being vast in size and population.

“The poor condition of roads and bridges, inadequate road connectivity, absence of proper healthcare facilities, lack of proper educational infrastructure, unemployment of educated youth, frequent breakdown of electricity, lack of safe drinking water facility and non-availability of essential commodities bear witness to the hollowness of claims of development of the area,” a CPI (m) statement quoted Tarigami as having said.

The CPI (m) leader demanded a special package of funds be provided for the development of Tral Area, in order to mitigate the sufferings and hardships of the people.(Agencies)
