The youth leader of People’s Democratic Party, Tahir Syeed condemned the killing of civilians in Handwara Kupwara of north Kashmir.
In a statement, Tahir said that it is unfortunate that in firing incidents precious lives have been lost.
He said the incident could have been averted.
He, however, urged the protesters to defeat the elements which are inimical to peace process in valley. “The people in the fit of rage should avoid damaging public property and cooperate with the government so that the guilty would be punished under law,” he said.
Tahir said that as the government initiates the peace and development in state, some forces behind the scenes always try to disrupt their efforts.
“This is high time when we should understand these hidden conspiracies against the government. Let you cooperate with the government and I assure you that all involved into the unfortunate killings will be dealt under law,” he was interacting with a group of youth from Kupwara.
