Srinagar: A written complaint was received by Police Station Nigeen few months back, wherein it was stated that some unknown thief/thieves took away purse containing some cash of a lady doctor at Habak Health Centre.
On this complaint, a case FIR No 144/2017 under section 454, 380 RPC was registered and investigation was taken up. During investigation many suspects were rounded up and put on sustained questioning. During questioning and using technical assistance one suspect identified as Rayees Ahmad Sheikh son of Mohammad Aslam Sheikh resident of Mirzabagh Hazratbal confessed his crime and on his disclosure stolen property was recovered.
The complainant was later called and apprised of the recovery who was all thankful to police and wished best of luck.
