After Bhartiya Janata Party it is now Balthackray founded Shiv Sena that is trying to gain some ground in Kashmir Valley. Kashmir based workers claiming to be affiliated with Shiv Sena organized a meeting in Chadoora town of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Tuesday. The meeting was presided by Shiv Sena’s Kashmir Coordinator Abdul Khaliq Bhat.
While talking to media, Bhat said that it was some three months back when he launched Shiv Sena in Budgam district. “We kept it secret that time owing to the security concern expressed by our workers that time. Since government has provided me foolproof security now, we decided to make it public today. During the meeting, we have decided to participate in the coming Municipal elections and for this purpose Shiv Sena will field its Kashmir based candidates,” he said.
Responding to a question, the Shiv Sena Coordinator said that the party is gaining ground in Budgam and soon it will start its activities in other districts of Kashmir Valley.(Agencies)
