Srinagar: Welcoming the statement of UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon regarding Kashmir, the Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) chairman Shabir Ahmad Shah on Monday said there are only two options to resolve the vexed Kashmir dispute – the implementation of UN resolutions and trilateral dialogue between India, Pakistan and Kashmir under the auspices of the world body."The people of Kashmir have always favored the dialogue process in order to resolve the long pending dispute but India always foiled such processes and is still trying to suppress the issue through its military might," Shah said in a statement to KNS.

He also reminded the UN a Secretary General of the 4-point formula proposed by the Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif recently saying the Pak Premier showed his sincerity to resolve all the outstanding issues with India which were again downplayed by India."The threat of war always looms the South Asia and there is dire need to respond to the Nawaz Sharif's formula of resolving the Kashmir issue," he said. Shah said the Kashmir is one of the oldest and sensitive issue in the UN agenda for which 18 resolutions are pending in there world body's Security Council."It is prime responsibility of UN to play its role as a third party with regard to the lingering dispute so that everlasting peace prevails in the subcontinent."The DFP chairman said the UN should observe as to who is placing hindrances in way of the resolution of the Kashmir issue and how it handles that impediment.

Shabir Ahmad Shah along with party Secretary General Moulana Abdullah Tari, Molvi Bashir Ahmad, Imtiyaz Ahmad, Ghulam Ahmad Maqdam, Muhammad Yousuf and dozens of other party activists today visited the residence of Shaheed Gowhar Nazir Dar at Zainakote, HMT. We have no faith in so-called investigations which only secure the culprits."He also paid glorious tributes to Shaheed Gowhar.
