Terming the killings as “mysterious and doubtful”, Geelani while quoting witnesses said that it was a “fake encounter”.

He also termed the statement of Mehbooba Mufti as “ridiculous and unrealistic” in which she had praised the state police for “not allowing JK to become Syria or Pakistan”.

“The police force about which the Mehbooba Sahiba is talking is involved a hundreds of innocent killings of civilians in Jammu & Kashmir and the special force of this police department which is known as SOG are expert in killing civilians particularly youths and students in custody,” he said in a statement issued to press here today.

“The Saraibala incident is a new record and achievement of the Mehbooba Mufti’s police and according to the eye witnesses it was clearly a staged drama of fake encounter in which two youths were killed.”

Referring to violent incidents in Pakistan, the octogenarian leader alleged that India’s spy agency was involved in “financing terrorist activities” in the neighbouring country.

“The unpleasant incidents which happen in Pakistan is actually the handy work of the New Delhi bosses of Mehbooba Ji and Indian secret agency RAW is formally financing the terrorist activities in this country and also provide training to the people in this regard,” he said.

Geelani questioned the silence of Mehbooba Mufti over the “innocent killings of hundreds and thousands of innocent people by the Indian army and the SOG from last 26 years”.

“She however knows that it will cost her chair,” he said.(Agencies)
