‘Run For Road Safety’ Held In Ramban

A motor bike rally ‘Run for road safety’ was organised today by District Police Ramban  to  create awareness among the people regarding adherence to traffic rules.  The theme of the event was “Zindagi Nahi Sasti – Safe riding” and   was held under Civic Action Programme of Jammu and Kashmir Police .

The event was flagged off by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP)  Randeep Kumar from Bus Stand and concluded at Kowbagh after  covering  Ramban Town, Maitra Village and District Police Line Chandrog.

Speaking on the occasion ,SSP Ramban emphasised the significance of road safety measures and said  that several lives would be saved if people strictly follow the traffic rules while driving. He said that such awareness programmes will be a regular feature as these play pivotal role in disseminating the message about the road safety standards among masses.

Appreciated the efforts of  Police department for organising such events ,the participants said that these campaigning campaigns are very important for creating a sense of discipline and adherence to various safety standard.

Over hundred of bikers across the district participated in a 10 Km “Zindagi Nahi Sasti – Safe riding” rally.

Among others Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Arun Gupta, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) Rafiq Choudhary, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) Traffic, Kameshwar Puri from besides senior officers of police and civil   department , Social Activist Mohammad Arif Wani, and large number of people were also present on the occasion.(Agencies)
