Jammu: BJP MLC Surinder Ambardar today said that conditions are not conducive in Kashmir for KP employees to join their duties in Kashmir who recently fled to Jammu after the turmoil over the killing of Burhan Muzaffer Wani-Hizb Commander.

Many hundred pandiths had returned the valley in last several years after the state government offered them jobs to ensure their social security on their return after spending over 25 years in exile.

Ambardar was speaking at the sports competition meet being organized by BJP Kashmir displaced district in memory of Pt. Prem Nath Dogra in various Kashmir pundit displaced camps and schools.

MLC said that there are over 1200 over ground workers who are helping militants in logistic support and close to 235 militants active in Kashmir this time. Under such circumstances, return of Pandiths is not possible,” he said. “Let there be normalcy and then any decision can be taken as per the situation”. 

He said the students in Kashmir have not gone to school from last three months which is very unfortunate.

He said it is difficult for them to venture out of homes when the miscreants are setting alight school buildings and destroy the future of their children.

“I don’t think these can be considered as conducive conditions for KP employees for going back to Kashmir and join their duties when students are afraid of going to schools,” he said.

He said the matter was discussed with the deputy chief minister Nirmal Singh who has assured that no one will be forced to join their duties untill normalcy returns.

While stressing on the essence of sports in the lives of students MLC said that sports helps in building strong character and should be pursed religiously along with studies.

For the youth Khelo India Khelo is one such scheme launched by Government of India under the leadership of visionary Prime Minister Narendra Modi which encourages talent and provides ideal platform for those who want to pursue sports as their careers.

While elaborating on the contributions of Pt Prem Nath Dogra MLC said that Dogra was a leader from Jammu and Kashmir who worked for total integration of the state with India. He was also known as Sher-e-Duggar. He formed the Praja Parishad Party in 1947 along with Balraj Madhok and shared a close proximity with Syama Prasad Mookerjee the founder of Bhartitya Jan Sangh who sacrificed his life for total integration of Jammu and Kashmir with India.
