The protesters alleged that on Tuesday evening forces damaged the window panes and broke the glasses of the Mosque during the minor stone pelting in the area.

Early in the morning hundreds of youth in the area took to the streets and stopped the traffic movement over the Srinagar-Muzafferabad highway.

As the government forces reached on spot to chase the protesting youth and restore traffic, they youth resorted to heavy stone pelting on forces, triggering massive clashes.

Dozens of tear smoke shells were fired by forces to disperse the protesters and they also resorted to latchi charge. Although the traffic was restored on road after sometime, the clashes are continuing between the forces and youth. Details awaited.
