Protesters Help Militants Escape In Pulwama

Massive protests were held by people in a Pulwama village after militants fired few shots on seeing a police party, reports said.

Local sources said that soon after a police party reached Newa area of south Kashmir district, people ran for their lives after hearing few gun shots.

Militants hiding in the village fired few shots on seeing a police party, locals said.

Soon after police and forces started cordoning the area people in hundreds came on streets and started raising slogans.

“Protests have been held apparently to help hiding militants escape,” police sources said.

The protesters pelted stones on police and forces who started search operation.(Agencies)
