Police launch rescue operation in Kupwara after landslides

Srinagar: Police in Jammu and Kashmir have launched a rescue operation in village Panjtara following landslides trigerred by incessant rainfall.
Due to landslides caused by heavy rainfall at village Panjtara, Kupwara, 60 residential houses were found in danger, an official said.
Police have shifted 30 families to safer places, he said, adding that the situation was continuously being monitored.
