Srinagar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on saturday laid foundation stone of 4 laning of Udhampur-Ramban and Ramban-Banihal sections of Jammu-Srinagar national highway.
The four-laning of Udhampur-Ramban and Ramban-Banihal sections of Jammu-Srinagar national highway to be constructed at a cost of Rs 4,306 cr.
The Prime Minister, during his day-long state visit reached Chanderkote from Kashmir in a helicopter.
Earlier, PM Modi announced Rs 80 lakh crore economic package for Jammu and Kashmir during his speech at Sher-i-Kashmir Cricket Stadium in Srinagar.
He also inaugurated 450 MW Baghlihar Power Project in Ramban district.
