Peace Is Imperative For Development: Fazili

Jammu: Maintaining that the peace is imperative for the development in Kashmir, the PDP MLA, Anjum Fazili said that Mehbooba Mufti led government is striving hard to ensure the pace in the valley.

She said that in the last three years of rule, the coalition government worked on many pro people and developmental initiatives in the state and will continue to do so.

“Many roads and bridges were built and the existing road network was macadamized. Even medical colleges and other educational institutes were setup by this government,” she said in the Legislative Assembly.

Fazili said that the issues pertaining to women were on focus of this government and special bus service, only women police stations and the Umeed scheme was launched for them.

She said that Rs 3 crore was enhanced as the developmental fund to each constituency in the present regime and will further escalate the speed of development.

“The pellet victims were rehabilitated by the government on humanitarian grounds so that they can live the normal and dignified life. Even cases against 5000 youths were revoked by government so that their studies and career won’t get affected,” she said.

She said that Mehbooba Mufti led government is committed to ensure the peace and prosperity of the state.
