PDP Busy in Hiring Crowd for Modi’s Rally

‘Even some PDP legislators are not supporting Modi’

Srinagar:  National Conference Wednesday claimed that to pull crowd for Modi’s rally, the PDP led government in Jammu and Kashmir has directed all the Deputy Commissioners and all top police officials to ensure more and more participation of ‘hired’ people and even Daily wagers and Anganwardi workers have been asked to ensure their presence at Sher-i-Kashmir Cricket Stadium on November 7, the day when Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address a rally.

Taking pot shots at Chief Minister Mufti Sayeed for allegedly promoting ‘hidden agenda’ of BJP and its ally RSS in the state, opposition National Conference (NC) Wednesday claimed that the ruling party has adopted a policy of ‘deceit’ to mislead people.

“We can see the Chief Minister for past few days issuing ‘gratuitous’ statements in favor of Narendra Modi and an impression is being given that what Mufti Sayeed is stating is the voice of people which is baseless. He is actually promoting the hidden agenda of RSS,” said NC General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar during a press conference at party headquarters here.

Sagar claimed that whatever Chief Minister has claimed about Modi in his statements is his personal idea to fortify the roots of BJP in Jammu and Kashmir.

“What sort of impression does CM wants to give, PDP garnered votes by claiming that it will keep BJP at bay and people reposed their faith in PDP with the hope that it will not allow saffron brigade to spread its tentacles in the state,”  he said.

Referring to various artists throughout the country who returned their awards as a mark of protest against growing intolerance in the country, he said Mufti must introspect as to what sort of message they want to give.

He said by promoting the ideology and philosophy of RSS, Mufti Sayeed is misleading the people of Kashmir in particular and India in general

“Your own ten MLA’s raised their voice against communal forces while two parliamentarians overtly opposed your coalition with BJP. It’s an irony that Deputy Commissioners, police officials, cops, daily wagers, Aanganwadi workers have been assigned to hire people to participate in Modi’s rally on November 7,” claimed he.

The senior NC leader said that Kashmir particularly Srinagar city has been converted into garrison ahead of Prime Ministers rally.

“Police stations are jam-packed with youth who have been arrested ahead of PM‘s scheduled rally.People are living a distressful life, we have also organized rallies during NC-Congress regime but we never adopted such tactics,” he said. (CNS)
