Palhallan Protest Against arrest of Youth

Srinagar: The Protests erupted in Palhallan town of North Kashmir after police arrested a youth.
Eye witnesses said that protests broke out after police arrested Parveez Ahmad who according to them was wanted in several cases and evading his arrest. As the news spread in the township, scores of youth appeared on road and started chanting pro freedom and anti police and anti India slogans.
However, the police swung into action and fired tear gas shells to quell the protesters.
The protests were on till last reports came in.
