Third Para trooper Killed In Pampore Encounter: CRPF

 A Captain of 9 Para, identified as Captian Tushar, who was critically injured in the ongoing gunfight in Pampore region of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday, has succumbed.

 Captain Tushar was shifted to 92 Base hospital for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries, said an official.

 He said that Tushar has received four bullets when he stormed into the building to take on the militants.Taking toll death to six.

Intermittent firing is going on between militants and forces. The area remains sealed off and the highway has been closed for traffic.

The encounter between forces and militants started on Saturday in which an army captain, trooper, two CRPF soldiers and a civilian were killed while nine troopers have been injured in the gunfight erupted on Saturday after militants attacked on CRPF convoy coming from Jammu-Srinagar.(Agencies)
