Mir asks Govt to clear stand on filling 40,000 vacancies

jobsSrinagar, October 3 (KNS): Coming heavily upon government for pushing educated unemployment youth to a state of desperation, former minister and chairman Democratic Nationalist Party (DNP) Ghulam Hassan Mir Saturday said that in the six-month tenure of PDP-BJP dispensation the sentiments and aspirations of youth were “brutally hurt”.

 

In a statement to KNS, Mir said that present government has announced to refer 40,000 unfulfilled vacancies to the recruiting agencies, and in this regard, claims were made, that recruiting boards were strengthened and the process of recruitment would be completed till December. “Six months have passed since the claim was made by the government, but as the credible reports only 4003 vacancies have been referred to the recruiting agencies,” he said, asking government to the air in this regard. “What is government doing? Why are the sentiments and aspirations of youth not being respected?” he said.

 

Mir also condemned the police lathi-charge on protesting casual workers.  (KNS)
