Srinagar: With five attacks in few hours on security installations by militants injuring several security personals besides snatching the rifle of Jammu and Kashmir policemen, the valley has gripped in the panic.

 Four of the five attacks in just five to six hours were carried out in south Kashmir’s various towns triggering high alert in the security grid. One attack was carried out in Handwara town of north Kashmir.  

The militants first attacked the paramilitary CRPF camp in Tral after hurling a grenade towards it before fleeing from the spot. Ten forces personal got injured, three of them critically and were evacuated to the hospital.

The area was cordoned off to search out the militants responsible for attack.

In another incident, the motorcycle borne militants lobbed a grenade at a CRPF installation at Padgampora in Pulwama district which missed the target. No causalities or injury in the incident were reported. In the same area the militants lobbed another grenade at police station Pulwama which again missed the target.

 However, later in the evening the militants in Annatnag district attacked the CRPF camp with grenade in the Sarnal area.

Meanwhile, in a daring attempt the militant’s also snatched the weapons of policemen at Anantnag’s Anchidora at the house of retired Justice Mohammad Athar.

4 x SLRs rifles were taken and two Jammu and Kashmir Policemen (JKP) are injured in the incident, according to the ANI.

Militants also fired upon Army camp of 22 Rashtriya Rifles at Pazalpora in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district. The attackers fled after the army launched a strong retaliation.
