Srinagar: Tassaduq Hussain Mufti son of former Chief Minster Mufti Muhammad Sayeed formally joins the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on his father’s death anniversary Saturday in Srinagar.
He made the announcement during a function organized at Indoor Stadium in Srinagar to commemorate the death of former Chief Minister late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed., who passed away on 7 Jan 2015.
He said that he will work for common man and want to work for peace and prosperity. “Peace and prosperity to the state where common man and VIPs will walk together. My endeavour is to work for people and will carry forward mission of my father,” he said. Tassaduq is professionally a cinematographer and his work for Hindi movie Omkara is widely applauded. Earlier he rubbished the speculations that he joined the politics.(KNS)
