Kulgam: After the footballer Majid Khan of Anantnag and Naseer Ahmed from Chimmer Kulgam returned from the militancy on the appeal of families and friends. A father from South Kashmir’s Kulgam district delivered a heart wrenching message on his Facebook account appealing his teen aged militant son ‘Mohammad Farhan’ to return home.
Farhan, 16, hailing from Redwani village went missing on July 2017 after he had gone to attend his XI class coaching at KP road Anantnag. He never returned to his home. After few days family came to know from police reports that Farhan has joined militant ranks.
Farhan topped matriculation exams in 2016 with 492 marks.He left his family in a distraught.“If he is with any organization, please let him go for God’s stake. I’m shattered,” said his brother Mohammad Burhan.
Farhan’s father Ghulam Muhammad Wani a teacher by profession is shocked at his son’s decision and wants him to return to his home.
Wani, while addressing his militant son wrote “My dear son, Since you left us, my body has started to betray me. I am screaming of the pain which you have given and still believe that you will come back home from the day you left home to your school.”
He further wrote: “I can’t explain how much I miss your smiling face, it had almost been six months, there is not a minute that goes by that I don’t think about you. I hope you are OK.I hope you are well. I am your father and if I didn’t tell you this, no one else will.

“I am sorry that I am going to die. I don’t want to die but i am not left with any choice.I am sorry. You will have a lot to learn but I will not be there to teach you, to scold you, to help you.”
“About your mother, she loves you more than anybody else in this world. She didn’t mind going through the pain of giving you birth because somebody told her that you will be there to lift her coffin on her death.”
“Dear son, we request you to come back and start again and we will help you in every manner otherwise the path which you have chosen will not lead you to anywhere other than pain, stress and betrayal and may be the time will come that you come back and never see us again.”
“Be you sister, your brother and every relative, all are missing you badly and are eagerly waiting to see you again.”
The distraught father concluded his letter with a message-
“Come back, we are missing you.” Farhan’s mother Gowhara said that she wants that her son should return. “I am suffering so many ailments since Farhan left me. I will commit suicide if he does not return”, she said.
“Please convey my message to him and tell him, his mother is waiting for him. I will be grateful (to militants, police and security forces) if Farhan returns home”. She said.
