Renowned Kashmiri singer, Shazia Bashir Sunday nominated for National Award.
Shazia Bashir, a Kashmiri singer hailing from Achbal Anantnag nominated for Bismillah Khan Award ‘SANGEET NATAK ACADEMY’ from President of India in Dehli.
Shazia has sung more than five hundred songs and has performed last year in London as well.
Shazia has received more than half dozen awards from government and other private agencies.
Shazia received ‘INFOTEL’ award in 2013 from Agriculture minister Gh Hassan Mir.
According to our correspondent, Shazia said that she is happy that her name has been nominated for such precious award.
She further said, “From last eight years I am in musical field.”
The other two persons will receive the award are Theatre artist Mushtaq Kak and Khem Taj.(Agencies)
